A little bit about me

I created Basics With Bails in 2017 as a way to share my healthy, delicious and accessible recipes that nourish the body and soul.  Just as the name suggests, Basics with Bails is a blog to help you get back to the basics!

I love to bake, cook, exercise, and document all of the above. I believe the secret to health and happiness starts from within, and isn’t as complicated as everyone thinks!

Nutrition is not low fat. It is not low calorie. It’s not feeling deprived or being hungry all the time. It’s nourishing your body with real, whole foods so that you are consistently satisfied and energized to live your life to the fullest!
