- 1 log Pillsbury cookie dough
- 12 Pillsbury Christmas sugar cookies
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, scoop the chocolate chip cookie dough into balls (about 1.5 tablespoons each). Flatten them out slightly and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
Pop the chocolate chip cookie dough balls into the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes. They should be slightly puffed but not fully set.
Remove the chocolate chip cookies from the oven. Quickly place a sugar cookie disc on top of each partially baked chocolate chip cookie, pressing gently so it sticks but doesn’t flatten completely.
Return the baking sheet to the oven and continue to bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the sugar cookie tops are just set.
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely. For a festive touch, sprinkle with red and green M&Ms or holiday sprinkles while they’re still warm.
