Crispy Feta Fried Eggs (Viral Tiktok Breakfast Recipe)

These crispy feta fried eggs made with crumbled feta cheese, a small tortilla and an egg is the next viral food sensation and for good reason. The salty cheese combined with the crispy fried eggs makes it the perfect weeknight staple or savoury breakfast in a pinch.

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • cup feta cheese
  • 1 small tortilla
  • ¼ avocado
  • black pepper
  • red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice

Instructions

  • Spray a small nonstick skillet with non-stick cooking spray over medium heat. Crumble the feta cheese in a circle.
  • Allow the feta cheese to cook for a minute or two so it melts. Then crack the egg in the centre of the pan.
  • Season the egg with black pepper and red pepper flakes. Cover pan and cook the egg to your liking, but it's best when there is still a runny egg yolk.
  • Heat the tortilla on a gas flame until it becomes a charred tortilla. Alternatively you can use the microwave.
  • Add the mashed avocado and lime juice to the tortilla shell. Once the egg is cooked through and it becomes crispy, place on the tortilla. Enjoy your cheesy crust breakfast taco.
