Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 6 cups rice krispie cereal
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 50 regular size marshmallows
  • ¾ cup shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 60 cadbury mini eggs

Instructions

  • In a large pot, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract.
  • Add Rice Krispie cereal to the marshmallow mixture. Stir until well coated.
  • Immediately spoon the mixture into greased muffin tins. Press the center down with a greased spoon or greased hands to form a nest shape. The mixture will be very sticky so ensure your hands are greased to make this step easier.
  • Allow the nests to cool for 10-15 minutes.
  • If using, dye shredded coconut with green food coloring to create edible grass for the nests.
  • Once the little nests are set, add the grass for an extra festive touch. Then add the chocolate egg candies.
  • Let the nests set completely before removing them from the muffin tins. This may take about 30 minutes.
