Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten-free graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1 cup coconut shreds
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 300mL

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 8x8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper. This little trick makes it a breeze to remove your bars once baked—no sticky bottoms here!
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed gluten-free graham crackers with melted butter. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the lined baking dish to create a solid crust.
  • Sprinkle the walnuts evenly over the graham crust, followed the layer of shredded coconut, and then the chocolate chips.
  • Grab your can of sweetened condensed milk and drizzle it over the entire pan, making sure to cover every inch. This is what gives the bars that chewy, cohesive texture.
  • Pop your magic bars into the preheated oven and bake for 27-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and slightly bubbly. Let the bars cool completely in the pan before slicing.
Once cooled, use a sharp knife to slice into squares or bars.
