- ½ cup pumpkin puree
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp water
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. While that’s heating up, line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. This will keep the treats from sticking and make clean-up a breeze.
In a large bowl, combine the canned pumpkin, eggs, and peanut butter. Mix it all up until it’s nice and smooth. The peanut butter adds a delicious flavor that dogs love, and the pumpkin is great for their digestive system.
Next, add the flour, salt, and cinnamon to the wet ingredients. Stir everything together until a dough forms. If it’s too dry, add the tbsp of water.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick using a rolling pin. Use a small cookie cutter to cut out shapes. If you don’t have a cookie cutter, a knife or a small glass will work just fine.
Place the cut-out treats on your prepared baking sheet. Pop them in the oven and bake for about 28-30 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and firm to the touch.
Let the treats cool completely before giving them to your dog. Store the treats in an airtight container, and they should last for a couple of weeks. You can also freeze them and save some for later.
