Easy Low Carb Spinach Dip Recipe

This Easy Low Carb Spinach Dip Recipe is one of my favorite dip recipes for game days, the super bowl, or any special event. Made with simple ingredients, this low-carb spinach dip is sure to be a crowd favorite and huge hit every time.

There aren’t too many things I like more than a creamy dip. An artichoke spinach dip with artichoke hearts, a Pepperoni Pizza Dip, a hot spinach dip, a cold spinach dip recipe, they’re all the first thing I’m going for on a table filled with appitizers.

I have had a creamy spinach dip or two in my lifetime and this was is hands down the best I’ve ever made. This is actually my mom’s recipe and just so happens to be a keto-friendly appetizer.

I follow somewhat of a low-carb diet, however I still enjoy eating this dip in a bread bowl from time to time. However if you’re on a keto diet you can absolutely skip the bread and eat it with veggies, keto crackers or something with a lower carb count.

Another one of my favorite appetizers is my Easy Baked Brie Recipe With Apricot Jam. It doesn’t follow a ketogenic diet because of the sugar content in the jam, but it’s still an incredible dish.

WHY I LOVE THIS KETO-FRIENDLY DISH

The great thing about this easy recipe is you can whip it up the night before, put it in the fridge, and it will be set to go in the morning. I can assure you it will be a crowd pleaser, and it only takes 2-3 minutes to mix together.

This is an easy comforting dip that has been a family favorite for years. You don’t need to follow a high-fat diet to love this recipe, everyone always seems to love it.

The total servings for this dip will be far too many for a few people enjoying it. This is enough for a small casserole dish, or a bread bowl with a small bowl of leftover dip that won’t fit.

If you choose to make this easy dip in a bread bowl, follow the recipe exactly and it will be a great appetizer to bring to a New Year’s Eve party, Christmas party, to a Super Bowl Party, etc. Leave it out at room temperature or serve it immediately out of the fridge, either way it will be one of the best keto appetizers at your event.

This is seriously the best spinach dip recipe, and you will realize this too after making it the first time.

INGREDIENTS FOR THE LOW CARB SPINACH DIP RECIPE

You will need the following ingredients listed below to make this keto spinach dip recipe (the exact measurements and full recipe are in the recipe card at the bottom of the post):

  • Frozen spinach and fresh spinach – i like using a combination of both in this recipe. You can opt out of the fresh spinach, but it is a great addition.
  • Sour cream – I recommend using full ft sour cream for this recipe.
  • Mayonnaise – regular mayo works best in this recipe, nothing low fat or calorie.
  • Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix – I have not tried with other mixes or spices. The Knorr mix is a garden medley blend of carrots, onions, tomatoes, celery root, leeks, potatoes, cabbage, peas, broccoli and garlic.
  • Serve it with keto crackers, keto tortilla chips, low-carb chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks or any other vegetable of your choosing.

HOW TO MAKE THIS EASY SPINACH DIP RECIPE

Remove frozen spinach from bag or box and chop up into small pieces. If spinach is too frozen you can microwave it – thawed spinach is much easier to chop.

You can squeeze out excess water from the spinach with a paper towel if you choose, but it’s not necessary.keto spinach artichoke dip recipe in large bowl

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix. Chill for 2-3 hours.

Serve with your favorite dippers like low carb crackers or veggies. Enjoy!

WHY YOU WILL LOVE THIS CREAMY DIP RECIPE

DELICIOUS – The best part about this dip is how unbelievable it tastes. If a recipe is easy to make but tastes horrible nobody wants to make it again, but this is tasty and easy which is a huge win in my books.

EASY – Only requires 4 ingredients and take less than 5 minutes to mix together. Cover it with plastic wrap for a few hours and it’s ready to go.

GLUTEN FREE – This dip is naturally gluten free as long as you’re serving it with gluten free snacks. My favorite is keto crackers and celery.

CAN MAKE AHEAD OF TIME – This dip is perfect for all sorts of different gatherings. You can mix it all up the night before, cut up your veggies, and have everything ready to grab and go the next morning.

LOW CARB – This is one of the few keto-friendly dips that I REALLY enjoy. Who knew a mix of mayonnaise, sour cream, spinach and soup mix would make the best keto dip recipe.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH SPINACH DIP

Cold spinach dip is often served in a bread bowl but you can serve it in a similar way inside of a bell pepper. A regular ceramic bowl also works perfectly fine.

You can serve this dip with any type of healthy snacks such as veggie sticks, keto chips, pork rinds, or whatever you desire.

Another option would be baking a thin layer of mozzarella cheese or parmesan cheese and making cheese crisps.

HOW TO STORE THE EASY KETO SPINACH DIP

To maintain the spinach dip’s freshness, ensure it’s stored in a sealed airtight container in the fridge. It will stay fresh for 3-5 days.
