Easy Protein Rice Krispie Treats Recipe

This Protein Rice Krispies Recipe is a childhood classic but with extra protein. This is the perfect sweet treat when you have nutrition goals but also want to indulge in a tasty crispy treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 50 large marshmallows
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies Cereal

Instructions

  • Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  • In a large pot, melt butter over medium-low heat.
  • Add marshmallows and stir until melted completely. Then add vanilla extract and protein powder to the melted marshmallows.
  • Remove from heat and quickly add the rice krispies and mix well until the cereal is well coated.
  • Using a rubber spatula add the rice krispies marshmallow mixture to the prepared pan and push down slightly.
  • Allow the rice krispies to sit at room temperature until set (approx 30 minutes). Cut into 16 pieces using a sharp knife and enjoy!
