SIMPLE INGREDIENTS YOU NEED FOR THE PERFECT SWEET TREAT

You will need the following ingredients listed below to make the sorbet base (the exact measurements, nutritional information and full recipe are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post):

  • Frozen frozen strawberries: For the best flavor, choose ripe fresh strawberries and freeze them yourself.
  • White sugar or your preferred sweetener: Adjust based on how sweet you like it. You could also try honey or agave syrup for a natural option.
  • Water: This helps blend everything smoothly.
  • A squeeze of fresh lime juice or lemon juice: Just a bit to brighten the flavors and add that refreshing zing.
  • Optional: other fresh fruit, fruit juice, cream cheese, cane sugar, heavy cream, almond milk, etc.

HOW TO MAKE THE STRAWBERRY SORBET NINJA CREAMI

  1. Toss the frozen strawberries, sugar, water, and lime juice into a blender. You want everything to be smooth and well combined. Taste it once itโ€™s blended; you can adjust the sweetness if needed.
  2. Pour your strawberry mixture into the ninja creami pint container up to the max fill line. Freeze container for 24 hours until frozen solid.
  3. Remove frozen pint, run under hot water for 60 seconds and install into your ninja creami machine. Itโ€™s important that your pint has a level surface, otherwise it can damage the blade.
  4. For the first spin, select sorbet button. Remove the outer bowl lid. If ice cream is still powdery, then add back to machine and use re-spin function.
  5. Check sorbet. The final product should be creamy and have a smooth texture. If your desired consistency isnโ€™t reached you can add a bit more water and spin again on the respin setting.
  6. After the Ninja Creami has done its thing, you can enjoy it right away.

TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BEST RESULTS

  • Experiment with Sweetness: Depending on how sweet your strawberries are, you might want to adjust the amount of sugar. Always taste your mixture before freezing.
  • Mix In Fun: Feel free to get creative by adding other berries to the mix or even a splash of balsamic vinegar for a gourmet twist.
  • Garnish Wisely: Serve with fresh mint or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra special touch.

FAQS

HOW TO STORE THE LEFTOVERS

Keep any leftover ice cream right in the Ninja Creami pint with the lid on. Re-freeze, then respin before serving again. Add a splash of milk or water if it gets icy, and enjoy within 1โ€“2 weeks for the best texture.

WHAT CAN I DO IF MY SORBET OR ICE CREAM ISN’T CREAMY ENOUGH?

If your sorbet or ice cream isn’t as creamy as you’d like, use the re-spin cycle on your Ninja Creami. Sometimes, the mixture needs an extra blend to reach that ideal creamy consistency.
