INGREDIENTS YOU NEED FOR THE PINEAPPLE ICE CREAM

You will need the following ingredients listed below to make the delicious sorbet recipe (the exact measurements, nutritional information and full recipe are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post):

  • Frozen pineapple chunks: Make sure they’re ripe before you freeze them for that natural sweetness. Can also use fresh pineapple.
  • White sugar or your preferred sweetener: Adjust based on how sweet you like it. You could also try honey or agave syrup for a natural option.
  • Water: This helps blend everything smoothly.
  • A squeeze of fresh lime juice: Just a splash to brighten everything up and add that zesty kick.
  • Optional: coconut milk, heavy cream, light syrup, powdered sugar, etc.

HOW TO MAKE

  1. First things first, make sure your pineapple chunks are frozen solid. It’s what gives the sorbet its perfect texture.
  2. Toss the frozen pineapple, sugar, water, and lime juice into a blender. You want everything to be smooth and well combined. Taste it once it’s blended; you can adjust the sweetness if needed.
  3. Pour your pineapple mixture into the ninja creami pint container up to the max fill line. Freeze container for 24 hours until frozen solid.
  4. Remove frozen pint, run under hot water for 60 seconds and install into your ninja creami machine. It’s important that your pint has a level surface, otherwise it can damage the blade.
  5. For the first spin, use Sorbet setting. Remove the outer bowl lid. If ice cream is still powdery, then add back to machine and press respin button.
  6. Check sorbet. The final product should be creamy and have a smooth texture. If your desired consistency isn’t reached you can add a bit more water and spin again on the respin setting.
  7. After the Ninja Creami has done its thing, you can enjoy it right away.

TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BEST RESULTS

  • Ripe Pineapples: The riper the pineapple, the sweeter your sorbet will be. So, pick the ripest pineapple you can find for freezing.
  • Customize It: Feel free to throw in other fruits for a mixed fruit sorbet or add herbs like mint or basil for an interesting twist.
  • Presentation: Serve it in a hollowed-out pineapple half if you’re feeling fancy, and watch everyone’s jaws drop.

If your sorbet isn’t the right texture after the initial spin, you can use the re-spin cycle. Simply place the pint back on the motor base, select the sorbet button again, and let the Ninja Creami do its magic.

Sometimes, a second spin is all it takes to achieve that perfect consistency.
