INGREDIENTS YOU NEED FOR THE COFFEE ICE CREAM
You will need the full ingredient list below to make the creamy ice cream (the exact measurements, nutrition facts and full recipe are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post):
- Fairlife skim milk – can use milk of choice, however this one contains 14 g protein per serving. Whole milk can also be used for a creamier texture.
- Unsweetened almond milk – can use nut milk of choice here such as coconut milk, unsweetened oat milk, or cashew milk.
- Vanilla protein powder
- Instant vanilla pudding mix – jello mix.
- Espresso shots
- Optional – vanilla bean paste, vanilla extract, heavy cream, chocolate chips, oreo pieces, etc.
HOW TO MAKE
- Add all ingredients to the ninja creami pint container up to the max fill line and mix well with hand held frother.
- Freeze container for 24 hours until frozen solid.
- Remove frozen pint, run under hot water for 60 seconds and install into your machine. It’s important that your pint has a level surface, otherwise it can damage the blade.
- For the first spin, press lite Ice Cream button. Remove the outer bowl lid. If ice cream is still powdery, then add back to machine and press respin button.
- Check ice cream. The final product should be creamy and have a smooth texture. If your desired consistency isn’t reached you can add a bit more liquid and spin again on the respin setting.
- Add your favorite toppings if desired and enjoy!
TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BEST RESULTS
Choosing the Right Protein Power: Select a top-notch chocolate protein powder that aligns with your dietary needs and preferences. Whether you lean towards whey, plant-based, or collagen protein, make sure it’s a flavor that delights your taste buds, as it plays a crucial role in shaping the ice cream’s overall taste.
Fine-Tuning Sweetness: While the inherent sweetness of ripe bananas is often sufficient, feel free to tailor it to your sweet tooth’s desire. For a sweeter indulgence, a touch of sweetener like maple syrup or stevia can be blended in, offering a customizable sweetness level.
Infuse Creativity with Mix-Ins: Unleash your culinary imagination by incorporating delightful mix-ins that elevate both the texture and flavor of your chocolate protein ice cream.
Explore options like chopped protein bars, crushed cookies, diced nuts, chocolate chunks, or even a tempting swirl of peanut butter for an extra layer of decadence. Let your taste buds lead the way!
