SIMPLE INGREDIENTS YOU NEED FOR THE MEAT-CRUST PIZZA RECIPE

You will need the following ingredients listed below to make this meaty keto pizza (the exact measurements, nutrition info and full recipe are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post):

For the Beef Crust:

  • Lean Ground Beef: The base of your pizza—opt for leaner beef to keep the crust sturdy and less greasy. Can also use ground chicken or ground turkey.
  • Eggs: Helps bind the beef together, creating a solid crust that holds up to toppings.
  • Parmesan Cheese: Adds a savory, cheesy flavor while also helping firm up the crust.
  • Garlic Powder: Because what is pizza without a little garlic?
  • Italian Seasoning: Brings in those classic herby pizza flavors.
  • Salt & Black Pepper: Essential for seasoning the beef crust to perfection.

Toppings (Customize as You Like!):

  • Pizza Sauce: Use your favorite store-bought or homemade tomato sauce.
  • Mozzarella Cheese: Because cheesy, stretchy pizza is a must.
  • Pepperoni: Brings that classic, slightly crispy, spicy kick.
  • Optional – mushrooms, black olives, Italian sausage, olive oil, onion powder, green peppers, fresh basil, etc.

HOW TO MAKE THE LOW CARB PIZZA RECIPE

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper.

Mix the Beef Crust Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined.

Form the Crust: Place the beef mixture on the prepared baking sheet and press it into a thin, even circle or rectangle.

Bake the Crust: Pop it in the oven for 20 minutes, or until golden and firm. Let it rest for 5 minutes to set.

Add Your Toppings: Crank the oven up to 425°F (220°C). Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the beef crust, then pile on the mozzarella and pepperoni (or whatever you love!).

Bake Again: Return to the oven for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melty, bubbly, and golden brown.

Slice & Serve: Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and dig in!

STORING LEFTOVER MEAT PIZZA

Refrigerator: Store leftover beef crust pizza in an airtight container or wrap individual slices in plastic wrap. It will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Freezer: For longer storage, wrap slices in parchment paper and place them in a freezer-safe bag. Freeze for up to 3 months.

Reheating:

    • Oven/Air Fryer (Best Method): Reheat at 375°F for 8-10 minutes until heated through and crispy.
    • Skillet: Heat on medium heat with a lid on for 5 minutes to bring back the crispiness.
    • Microwave (Quickest Option): Heat in 30-second intervals, but keep in mind the crust will become softer.

TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BEST RESULTS

  • Use Lean Ground Beef – Too much fat will make the crust greasy, so stick to lean ground beef (around 90% lean or higher) for a firm, sturdy base.

  • Drain Excess Moisture – If your beef releases too much juice while baking, blot it with a paper towel before adding toppings to prevent sogginess.

  • Shape the Crust Evenly – Press the beef mixture into a thin, even layer (about 10-12 inches wide) on a pizza pan or baking sheet for even cooking.

  • Pre-Bake the Meat Crust First – Baking the beef crust before adding toppings ensures it holds up and doesn’t turn into a sloppy mess.

  • Let It Rest Before Adding Toppings – Once the crust is pre-baked, let it sit for 5 minutes before adding your sauce and cheese to help it firm up.

  • Don’t Overdo the Sauce – A thin layer of pizza sauce works best—too much will make the crust soft.

  • Customize Your Toppings – Try buffalo chicken, extra cheese, or a BBQ twist—whatever makes your pizza-loving heart happy.

  • Use an Air Fryer for Quick Reheating – Want crispy leftovers? Reheat slices in an air fryer at 375°F for 5 minutes to bring back that fresh-out-of-the-oven taste.

  • Make It a Meal Prep Staple – This protein-packed pizza stores well and reheats like a dream, so make an extra for easy, high-protein meals all week.
