Fluffy Yogurt Recipe (29g Protein, 5 Minutes)
This fluffy yogurt recipe is a thick, creamy, dessert-style Greek yogurt made with pudding mix, baking powder, and protein powder โ ready in 5 minutes, 29 grams of protein, and tastes exactly like cheesecake had a snack.

Fluffy yogurt is the viral Greek yogurt trend that broke TikTok for good reason. It’s thick, creamy, and genuinely tastes like dessert โ made by stirring Greek yogurt with pudding mix and baking powder until it transforms into something that has no business tasting this good for something this easy.
Bailey’s version takes the original @buffunicorn method and adds protein powder to push it to 29 grams of protein per bowl. Still five minutes, still one bowl, just significantly more filling.

Ingredients You’ll Need
(Full measurements are in the recipe card below.)
- Plain Greek yogurt โ use a thick Greek yogurt with high protein. Fage 0% or 2% is the gold standard for this recipe โ it’s thick enough to hold the fluffy texture. Chobani, Siggi’s, or any full-fat Greek yogurt also work. Don’t use regular yogurt โ it’s too thin and the texture won’t come together.
- Vanilla protein powder โ adds the protein boost that separates this from the basic viral version. Salted Caramel from 1UP Nutrition is Bailey’s go-to (code BAILS for 20% off). Vanilla works just as well. Don’t want protein powder? Just leave it out and use extra yogurt โ you’ll lose the protein count but still get the fluffy texture.
- Sugar-free cheesecake or vanilla Jello pudding mix โ the instant variety, used dry straight from the packet. This is what gives the yogurt that thick, dense, cheesecake-like texture and flavor. Don’t prepare it with milk โ just stir the powder directly in. Cheesecake flavor is the most popular but any instant pudding flavor works.
- Baking powder โ the secret behind the fluffy texture. Baking powder reacts with the acidity in Greek yogurt to create tiny air bubbles that make the texture lighter, thicker, and fluffier than plain yogurt alone. Start with a small amount โ a little goes a long way.
- Monkfruit sweetener โ adds sweetness without sugar. Stevia, honey, maple syrup, or agave all work as substitutes.
- Dark chocolate chips โ for the topping situation. Mini chips distribute more evenly. A drizzle of melted peanut butter on top is also very correct.

How to Make Fluffy Yogurt
- Add everything to a bowl. Scoop the Greek yogurt into a medium bowl. Add the protein powder, pudding mix powder, baking powder, and sweetener on top.
- Stir until smooth. Mix everything together with a spoon for 60โ90 seconds until completely combined and no lumps of pudding powder remain. The mixture will thicken noticeably as you stir.
- Top and serve. Add chocolate chips, a drizzle of peanut butter, fresh berries, or whatever sounds good. Eat immediately or refrigerate for 30โ60 minutes for an even thicker, firmer texture.
The baking powder does the work โ don’t skip it. It reacts with the natural acidity in Greek yogurt to create air bubbles that make the texture genuinely fluffy rather than just thick. Without it, you have Greek yogurt with pudding mix. With it, you have fluffy yogurt. Small difference, big result.
Don’t over-add pudding mix. More is not more here. Too much pudding mix makes the yogurt overly sweet and gummy rather than light and cheesecake-like. Stick to the recipe amount and adjust from there.
Use thick Greek yogurt. Thin yogurt won’t give you the fluffy texture โ it’ll just be loose and runny. Fage is the most reliable brand for thickness.

Flavor Variations
- Peanut butter โ stir a tablespoon of PB2 or powdered peanut butter into the yogurt base along with chocolate pudding mix.
- Chocolate โ use sugar-free chocolate pudding mix and chocolate protein powder. Top with mini chocolate chips and a drizzle of peanut butter.
- Strawberry cheesecake โ sugar-free cheesecake pudding mix with strawberry protein powder. Add fresh sliced strawberries on top.
- Banana cream โ sugar-free banana cream pudding mix with vanilla protein powder. Sliced banana on top with a sprinkle of crushed vanilla wafers.
- Cookie dough โ vanilla pudding mix, vanilla protein powder, mini chocolate chips stirred throughout. Tastes exactly like edible cookie dough.
- Lemon cheesecake โ sugar-free cheesecake pudding mix with a teaspoon of lemon zest stirred in. Bright and refreshing.

Topping Ideas
- Dark chocolate chips or mini chips
- Melted peanut butter drizzle
- Fresh berries โ strawberries, raspberries, blueberries
- Crushed graham crackers for a cheesecake vibe
- Granola for crunch
- A dollop of Cool Whip or whipped cream
- Sliced banana
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The texture actually improves after an hour in the fridge as it thickens further. Stir briefly before eating if it’s been sitting. Do not freeze โ the texture becomes watery when thawed.
