HOW TO MAKE

  1. Add milk, almond milk, protein powder, and vanilla pudding mix to the ninja creami pint container up to the max fill line and mix well with hand held frother. Chop bananas in half and add to the pint container.
  2. Freeze container for 24 hours until frozen solid.
  3. Remove frozen pint, run under hot water for 60 seconds and install into your machine. It’s important that your pint has a level surface, otherwise it can damage the blade.

  5. Check ice cream. The final product should be creamy and have a smooth texture.
  6. Make a hole in the middle of the ice cream and add chocolate chunks and walnuts. Add back to machine and use Mix-ins button. Top with additional chocolate, walnuts and banana pieces and enjoy!

FAQS

CAN I USE DIFFERENT NUTS OTHER THAN WALNUTS IN THIS ICE CREAM FLAVOR?

Absolutely! While walnuts are traditional in Chunky Monkey flavor, feel free to substitute with pecans, almonds, or any nut you prefer. Each type of nut will add its own unique taste and texture to the ice cream.

IS THERE A VEGAN OPTION FOR THIS HEALTHIER VERSION OF CHUNKY MONKEY ICE CREAM?

For a vegan version, use a plant-based protein powder and a non-dairy milk alternative. Ensure your chocolate chips and any added sweeteners are also vegan. Avocado can work well in place of bananas for those avoiding fruit.

CAN KIDS ENJOY THIS EASY RECIPE?

Yes, this Chunky Monkey Protein Ice Cream is a healthier treat option that kids can enjoy too. It’s a fun way to get some extra protein into their diet, especially if they’re picky eaters. Just be mindful of any allergies to nuts or other ingredients used.
