TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BEST RESULTS

  • Smooth Cottage Cheese: If you’re not a fan of the texture, make sure to blend the cottage cheese really well.
  • Sweetness Level: Adjust the maple syrup to your taste. If you like it sweeter, add a bit more.
  • Storage: Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. It’ll last for a few days (if you don’t eat it all first).

STORING THE LEFTOVER EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH RECIPE

If you somehow manage to have leftovers (I know, it’s hard to resist!), here’s how you can store your Oreo Protein Cookie Dough:

  1. Airtight Container: Transfer the cookie dough to an airtight container. This helps keep it fresh and prevents it from drying out.
  2. Refrigerate: Store the container in the refrigerator. The cookie dough will stay good for up to 5 days.
  3. Freezing: If you want to keep it longer, you can freeze the cookie dough. Roll it into small balls or just place the whole batch in a freezer-safe container. It should last for up to 3 months in the freezer.
  4. Thawing: When you’re ready to enjoy it again, let it thaw in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight. If you’re in a hurry, you can also let it sit at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes.

FAQS

HOW MANY GRAMS OF PROTEIN ARE IN THIS PROTEIN COOKIE DOUGH?

The protein content will vary based on the specific protein powder used, but generally, you can expect around 20-25 grams of protein per serving.

CAN I USE COCONUT FLOUR INSTEAD OF ALMOND FLOUR?

Yes, you can substitute coconut flour, but you will need to use a lot less since it’s more absorbent. Keep in mind I have not tested measurements for this, and it may alter the taste and texture a lot.

WHAT’S THE BEST SWEETENER OF CHOICE FOR THIS REAL COOKIE DOUGH?

Maple syrup is used in the original recipe, but you can substitute it with your preferred sweetener, such as honey or a monk fruit blend.

CAN I BAKE THIS DOUGH INTO PROTEIN COOKIES?

No, the dough is designed to be eaten raw. This will not bake into cookies.

WHAT’S THE BEST PROTEIN POWDER FOR THIS RECIPE?

The best protein powder is one that you enjoy the taste of. Vanilla works well, but feel free to experiment with other flavors.

My personal favorite is PEScience Gourmet Vanilla Protein Powder.
