Let’s talk snacks. You know, the ones that make you feel like a dessert genius but secretly pack a protein punch?

That’s where these Frozen Protein S’mores come in. They’re everything you love about the classic campfire treat – chocolatey, creamy, and totally indulgent – with a few upgrades to make them cooler (literally) and way more macro-friendly.

Here’s the twist: these s’mores are built for your freezer, not your campfire. And instead of just chocolate and marshmallows, we’re layering on a rich melted chocolate base and a dreamy, protein-packed Cool Whip filling.

All sandwiched between crispy graham crackers, then frozen to perfection. It’s the kind of snack that feels fancy enough for a party but easy enough for a midweek treat.

But the best part? These bad boys aren’t just about indulgence. With a healthy dose of protein powder in the mix, they’ll satisfy your sweet tooth and keep you feeling good about your choices.

Whether you’re looking for a post-workout pick-me-up, a guilt-free dessert, or something to wow your friends, these s’mores are the answer.

So, grab your graham crackers, whip up that filling, and let’s make some frozen magic. Dessert just got an upgrade, and honestly? You deserve it.

HOW TO MAKE THE PROTEIN SMORES

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  2. Place half the graham crackers on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Using a spoon or spatula, spread a thin, even layer of melted chocolate on each cracker.
  3. Place the tray in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.
  4. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the Cool Whip and protein powder. Mix thoroughly until the filling is smooth and well-incorporated.
  5. Remove the graham crackers from the freezer. Spoon a dollop of the protein filling onto each chocolate-covered cracker. Gently top with a plain graham cracker, pressing lightly to form a sandwich.
  6. If desired, dip one edge or corner of the assembled s’mores into more melted chocolate for an extra decorative touch.
  7. Return the assembled s’mores to the parchment-lined baking sheet and place them in the freezer for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
  8. Remove from the freezer and enjoy immediately for a refreshing, protein-packed treat. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one week.

TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BEST RESULTS

  • Use Fresh Graham Crackers: Crisp crackers ensure the perfect crunch in every bite. Stale ones won’t hold up as well.
  • Mix Protein Powder Thoroughly: Fold the protein powder into the Cool Whip gently but thoroughly to avoid clumps and ensure a smooth filling.
  • Set the Chocolate Properly: Allow the chocolate layer on the graham crackers to fully harden in the freezer before adding the filling. This prevents mess and keeps the layers intact.
  • Don’t Overfill: Use just enough filling to create a satisfying layer without squishing it out when you sandwich the graham crackers together.
  • Work Quickly with Chocolate: Melted chocolate can harden as it cools, so work efficiently when spreading or dipping for the best results.
  • Use Coconut Oil for Smooth Chocolate: Adding coconut oil to the chocolate ensures a glossy finish and makes it easier to work with.
  • Freeze Until Firm: Be patient and let the s’mores freeze completely before serving. This keeps them solid and refreshing.
  • Store Properly: Keep the s’mores in an airtight container in the freezer to maintain freshness and prevent freezer burn.
  • Experiment with Flavors: Try different protein powder flavors or add a pinch of cinnamon or sea salt to the chocolate for an extra kick.
  • Serve Straight from the Freezer: These treats are best enjoyed cold, so take them out just before serving to maintain their texture and flavor.

STORING LEFTOVER FROZEN S’MORES RECIPE

  • Use an Airtight Container:
Place the s’mores in a single layer in an airtight container. If stacking is necessary, separate layers with parchment or wax paper to prevent sticking.
  • Store in the Freezer:
Keep the container in the freezer at a consistent temperature. These treats are best stored frozen to maintain their texture and flavor.
  • Shelf Life:
Frozen s’mores can last up to 1 week in the freezer, but good luck making them last that long—they’re irresistible!
  • Serve Straight from the Freezer:
Enjoy these s’mores immediately after removing them from the freezer for the best texture and taste. Avoid leaving them out for too long, as the filling and chocolate may soften.
