HOW TO MAKE THE QUICK HALLOWEEN RECIPE

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add in the marshmallows and stir until they’re melted and gooey. Remove from heat and add in vanilla extract for a little extra flavor kick, and keep stirring until everything is smooth.
  2. Immediately stir in the Rice Krispie cereal. Mix it all up until the cereal is fully coated in marshmallow deliciousness.
  3. Press the mixture down slightly into a greased 9×9 pan with a buttered spatula to create your base layer.
  4. Allow the rice krispies to sit at room temperature until set (approx 20 minutes). Cut into 12 rectangular pieces.
  5. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. This will be your mummy’s bandages! Use a spoon or piping bag to drizzle the melted white chocolate over your Rice Krispie rectangles in a messy, criss-cross pattern.
  6. Before the chocolate hardens, press two candy eyes onto each mummy, giving them that adorable (or spooky) look. Let the white chocolate set and harden. Boom! You’ve just created the cutest mummies ever!

TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BEST RESULTS

  • Don’t Let the Mixture Stick: Grease your hands or spatula with a little butter or cooking spray before pressing the Rice Krispie mixture into the pan. No sticky mess, just crispy magic.
  • Get Creative with the Eyes: Can’t find candy eyes? No problem! Use mini chocolate chips, small pieces of marshmallows, or anything else that gives these mummies some personality.
  • Keep the White Chocolate Smooth: Adding coconut oil to your white chocolate chips makes it super smooth and easy to drizzle. It also helps the chocolate set with a nice shine—because we want our mummies to slay!
  • Make Them Ahead: These mummies can be made a day or two ahead of time and stored in an airtight container. Perfect if you’re getting ready for a big Halloween bash!
