superfood tea cubes for smoothies

What is a Millenia Superfood Tea Cube? They are real, raw & organic Camellia sinensis tea leaves. They’re refreshing and don’t have the bitterness you sometimes get with green teas. I’m not a HUGE fan of green tea, but I love the Superfood Tea Cubes as the flavour is much more mild.

Millenia Tea has FIVE times the amount of antioxidants to green tea. They are the only un-dried tea on the market. They’re frozen to preserve antioxidants, and they increase energy and focus! Are you sold yet??

It’s truly not just tea, it’s food – my favourite way to use it is in my smoothies but you can also use it in soups and sauces! In this Chocolate Peanut Butter Superfood Smoothie you can’t even taste the tea cube at all!

You can find them at Natures Fare Markets and Pomme locations across BC, online HERE (use code BAILEY20 for 20% off your purchase) and in stores across Canada.

This creamy smoothie comes together in just a few minutes with only a few ingredients and its so good that you’ll want it every day for breakfast or dessert!

This smoothie tastes totally decadent, and I was almost tempted to call it a milkshake (which explains the whipped cream and chocolate shavings), but I like to think that calling it a smoothie makes it a perfectly acceptable breakfast option.

6 ingredient superfood chocolate smoothie recipe with banana

homemade chocolate banana smoothie low in sugar

This chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie is so delicious! It’s one of my favourite smoothies to drink, and it would also be delicious as a smoothie bowl! If you want to make this smoothie into a bowl, some yummy topping ideas for your smoothie bowl are:

  • Granola
  • Peanut Butter
  • Sliced Bananas
  • Flaxseeds, chia seeds, hemp hearts
  • Shredded coconut
  • Berries such as strawberries, blueberries or raspberries

Note that the sweetness of this smoothie comes from the ripeness of the bananas so be sure to use some that are well ripened. If you still would like it a little bit sweeter you could add in a little honey or cut back a touch on the cocoa powder.

This is one creamy, protein rich smoothie you are going to love!
