Protein White Chocolate Recipe

Okay, hear me out โ€” what if I told you that you could make your own protein white chocolate recipe at home that tastes like the real deal?

Like, melt-in-your-mouth creamy, sweet, and perfectly snackable… but with a little gainz? Yeah. Weโ€™re doing that.

This recipe honestly feels a little too easy to be real. Itโ€™s only three ingredients โ€” and if youโ€™ve got a sweet tooth that hits at 10 PM like mine does, this is about to become your go-to.

You can use your fave protein powder, but I used the Unicorn Donut Whey and holy, itโ€™s giving bakery vibes. Itโ€™s high-protein, low effort, and totally satisfies that late-night chocolate craving without the sugar crash.

Perfect for drizzling over fruit, mixing into yogurt bowls, or just breaking apart and eating straight from the fridge. Letโ€™s make it.

Simple Ingredients You Need For The Protein Chocolate Recipe

You will need the following ingredients listed below to make the holiday chocolate recipe (the exact measurements and instructions, nutrition information and full recipe are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post):

  • Creamy white chocolate chips – I used Enjoy Life Foods brand as I find it easier to work with when melting.
  • Coconut oil
  • Vanilla whey protein powder – could also use vegan protein powder or the Unicorn Donut Protein Powder version for something fun and sweet (use code BAILS to save 20%).
  • Optional toppings – stevia, cinnamon, raspberries, or other berries, vanilla extract, etc.

How To Make

  1. Add the white chocolate chips and coconut oil to a small saucepan over low heat.
  2. Stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth โ€” donโ€™t rush this part, white chocolate burns easily.
  3. Whisk in your protein powder slowly until completely combined and silky. You don’t want to rush this either as it can cool down the chocolate too fast.
  4. Pour the mixture into silicone molds or onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Freeze for 20-30 minutes, or until solid.
  6. Pop out or break into chunks and store in the fridge or freezer.

Tips And Tricks For Best Results

  • Keep the heat low and slow โ€” once white chocolate scorches, thereโ€™s no saving it.
  • If it thickens too much after adding protein, stir in a tiny bit more coconut oil.
  • Sprinkle crushed cookies, sprinkles, or flaky salt on top before freezing for extra fun.
  • For the smoothest texture, use whey or a whey blend โ€” plant-based powders can get a little grainy.

Storing Leftovers

Store your protein white chocolate in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or in the freezer for up to a month. Let it sit for a couple minutes before biting in for that soft, melt-y texture.

Faqs

Can I use a double boiler instead of direct heat?

Absolutely โ€” thatโ€™s even better for avoiding burnt chocolate. Just make sure the bottom of your bowl doesnโ€™t touch the simmering water.

Can I make this with dark or milk chocolate chips instead?

Totally! Just swap them in for a different flavor vibe.

Can I skip the coconut oil?

Not recommended โ€” it helps the chocolate set properly and gives it that glossy, snappy finish.
