Kit Kat Protein Ice Cream Recipe In The Ninja Creami
This Kit Kat protein ice cream tastes like a candy bar blended into soft serve, and it comes out of the Ninja Creami thick, chocolatey, and loaded with crunchy Kit Kat pieces. One pint, real protein, about five minutes of hands-on time.

I have made this Kit Kat protein ice cream more times than I can count, and it still gets me every time I crack the pint and see those chunky Kit Kat pieces folded through the chocolate.
Kit Kat protein ice cream is a high-protein frozen dessert made in the Ninja Creami with chocolate milk, chocolate protein powder, instant pudding mix, and chopped Kit Kat bars. The base spins up creamy and rich, the Kit Kats bring the crunch, and you get a full pint of chocolate ice cream that keeps you full instead of leaving you digging for a second bowl. Each pint comes in around 47g of protein.
The whole thing takes about five minutes to mix, then the freezer does the work overnight. You can swap the protein powder, swap the milk, make it richer or lighter, and it still turns out. That is the part I love. It bends around whatever you already have in the cupboard.
If chocolate Creami pints are your thing, here are two more you will want next: my Cookie Dough Protein Ice Cream and my Banana Cream Pie Protein Ice Cream.

Ingredients You Need For Kit Kat Protein Ice Cream
You only need a few things to make this protein ice cream. The exact measurements, nutrition info, and full recipe are in the recipe card at the bottom of the post.
- Fairlife chocolate milk. Higher in protein than regular milk and keeps the base rich and chocolatey without much added sugar. A chocolate protein shake works too, and if you go that route you can skip the protein powder.
- Unsweetened almond milk. Thins the base so it spins smooth instead of seizing up. Any unsweetened milk does the job.
- Sugar-free instant chocolate pudding mix. This is the creamy-texture trick. It stops ice crystals from forming so the pint comes out smooth instead of icy. Guar gum or xanthan gum works the same way if that is what you have on hand.
- Chocolate protein powder. Where most of the protein comes from. Whey or plant-based both work. Pick one you already like the taste of, because a chalky protein powder makes a chalky pint.
- Kit Kat bars. The crunch. Chopped and folded in at the end so you get real candy-bar pieces in every scoop. One heads-up: standard Kit Kats contain wheat, so they are not gluten free. For a gluten-free version, swap in gluten-free chocolate wafer bars or chopped chocolate.
- Optional add-ins. Chocolate chips, a splash of vanilla, a spoon of cocoa powder, or a little heavy cream for an even richer pint.

How To Make Kit Kat Protein Ice Cream
- Add the chocolate milk, almond milk, pudding mix, and chocolate protein powder to your Ninja Creami pint, filling to the max line. Mix well with a handheld frother until smooth.
- Freeze the pint flat for 24 hours, until it is solid all the way through.
- Take the frozen pint out, run the bottom under hot water for about 60 seconds, and lock it into the machine. Make sure the top of the base is level, or it can damage the blade.
- Run it on the Lite Ice Cream setting for the first spin. Pop the lid. If it still looks powdery or crumbly, put it back and hit Re-spin.
- Check the texture. You want creamy and smooth. If it is still a little dry, add a splash more milk and Re-spin until it gets there.
- Add your chopped Kit Kats and run the Mix-In setting to fold them through. Scoop and eat.

Tips For The Creamiest Ninja Creami Pint
- Freeze the pint dead level. If the base freezes on a tilt, the blade hits it unevenly and you get a rough spin and extra wear on the machine. I set mine flat on a freezer shelf, not balanced on a bag of frozen peas.
- Always run the Re-spin. One spin almost never gets it fully creamy. The first pass usually comes out crumbly, and the re-spin with a splash of milk is what turns it into soft serve.
- Add the Kit Kats last and keep the pieces chunky. The Mix-In setting breaks them down a little, so if you chop them too small you lose the crunch. I cut mine into roughly dime-size pieces.
Storing And Making It Ahead
Ninja Creami pints are best the second they come out of the spin, when the texture is right at soft serve. If you have leftovers, smooth the top down with the back of a spoon, put the lid on, and freeze. It will freeze hard, so when you want it again, run it back through a quick Re-spin with a splash of milk and it comes right back to creamy.
The base also keeps frozen and un-spun for a few weeks, so I like to prep two or three pints at once and spin them fresh whenever the craving hits.
