One can of peaches. That’s the whole recipe. I still can’t get over how a $1.50 pantry can turns into the creamiest peach sorbet I’ve ever had, no blender, no chopping, no peeling.

Ninja Creami peach sorbet is a dairy-free frozen dessert made from a single can of peaches, frozen for 24 hours and spun on the Sorbet setting until it’s smooth and scoopable. It comes out tasting 100% like peaches because it IS 100% peaches. Wild what this machine does with so little.

I’ve made my way through what feels like every Ninja Creami flavor on the planet, and this is the one I reach for when I want something light and fruity instead of rich and creamy. Canned peaches are at the store all year, so peach season is basically whenever I want it to be. And if you’re chasing macros like I usually am, a scoop of vanilla protein powder turns this into a higher-protein version without changing the texture (more on that below).

Ingredients You Need

  • Canned peaches โ€” one 15.25 oz can, the star and (almost) the whole show. Peaches packed in 100% juice or light syrup keep it lighter and let the natural fruit flavor lead. Heavy syrup makes it sweeter and a touch creamier if that’s your thing.
  • Lemon or lime juice (optional) โ€” a small squeeze brightens the peach flavor and cuts the sweetness so it tastes fresh, not flat. I add it about half the time.
  • Protein powder (optional) โ€” a scoop of vanilla protein blended into the base before freezing bumps the protein and adds a little body. PEScience vanilla is my go-to, code BAILEY saves you some money.

How to Make Ninja Creami Peach Sorbet

  1. Pour the entire can of peaches, juice and all, into your Ninja Creami pint container up to the max fill line. Snap on the lid.
  2. Freeze flat for 24 hours on a level shelf, until the base is solid all the way through.
  3. Take the pint out, pop off the lid, and lock it into the outer bowl. Twist into the machine and press Sorbet.
  4. Check the texture. If it looks crumbly or powdery after the first spin, hit Re-Spin and it’ll come together smooth.
  5. Scoop into a bowl and eat it right away, that’s when the texture is at its best.

Tips for the Creamiest Peach Sorbet

The freeze step is where most of the magic happens, so set your pint on a totally flat surface. A tilted pint freezes uneven and throws off the spin.

Freeze with the lid on, but if you ever notice a tall peak forming in the center, scrape it flat before spinning. A big frozen peak can push against the blade.

Give it the full 24 hours. I know it’s a long wait for something this fast to make, but a base that isn’t frozen solid will spin up icy.

Run the outside of the frozen pint under warm water for about 30 seconds before installing it. That thin melt on the edges helps the blade catch and gives you a creamier first spin.

The Re-Spin button is your best friend. A crumbly first spin is completely normal for fruit sorbets, one re-spin almost always fixes it. Still crumbly? Add a tablespoon of water or peach juice and spin once more.

Variations to Try

Fresh peaches โ€” swap the can for 2 to 3 ripe fresh peaches, peeled and sliced, plus a splash of peach or lemon juice for the liquid the canned version gets from its syrup. Blend smooth before freezing.

Peaches and cream โ€” stir in a couple tablespoons of half and half, heavy cream, or full-fat coconut milk before freezing for a richer, ice-cream-style scoop.

Higher protein โ€” blend a scoop of vanilla protein powder into the base before it freezes. You’ll add real protein and a slightly thicker, creamier finish.

Mix the fruit โ€” sub up to half the peaches for canned pineapple, mango, or strawberries for a tropical or berry-peach combo.

A little extra โ€” fresh mint on top, a pinch of cinnamon stirred in after the first spin, or a scoop dropped into sparkling water for a peach float.

How to Store Peach Sorbet

Peach sorbet keeps its best texture for 1 to 2 weeks in the freezer. After that it can start to pick up ice crystals and lose some of that bright peach flavor.

Store it right in the Ninja Creami pint with the lid on. Smooth and level the top with the back of a spoon before it goes back in, which helps it re-spin cleanly later.

When you want round two, run the pint under warm water for 30 seconds and Re-Spin to bring back the fresh-churned texture. Try to only scoop what you’ll eat, since repeated thawing and refreezing is what makes sorbet turn icy.

Ninja Creami Peach Sorbet FAQ

Is Ninja Creami peach sorbet dairy-free? Yes. Made with just canned peaches, this sorbet has no milk, cream, or yogurt, so it’s naturally dairy-free and vegan. Add half and half or coconut milk only if you want a creamier, peaches-and-cream style.

What’s the difference between sorbet and ice cream? Sorbet is fruit-based and dairy-free, which gives it a lighter, refreshing texture. Ice cream uses a milk or cream base for a richer, denser scoop. This recipe is a true sorbet, fruit and nothing else.

Is peach sorbet healthy? This one is made from real fruit with no added cream and no artificial flavors, and it’s naturally fat-free. Using peaches in juice or light syrup keeps the sugar lower than heavy syrup, and you control exactly what goes in.

Can I make this in a Ninja Creami Deluxe? Yes. The Deluxe uses a larger pint, so use about 1.5 cans of peaches to reach the max fill line. Everything else stays the same.
